CONFUSION OVER TRAFFIC CHANGE.
A LONG line of traffic, confused motorists and pedestrians, was what resulted on the first day of traffic changes along Bridge Street and Wharf Road, Bridgetown. The roadworks, which began Monday, form part of the Careenage Redevelopment Project. According to an official from the Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTII), who did not want to be named, a handrail is to be installed along the road which runs from the junction of Marhill Street, going in front of Trimart, up to the Fairchild Street Bus Terminal. This project is estimated to last four weeks. Some minor works are also being done on the Charles Duncan O'Neal Bridge and handrails are being installed. Unable to find a short exit (siehe Bild unten), this woman decided to squeeze through the rails and cross in the traffic along Bridge Road.
